Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 15, 2026. Plain language, no legalese bloat.
1. What Vorch Collects
When you create an account or use Vorch, the following information may be collected:
- Account details: Your name and email address, used to identify your account.
- Content you upload: Videos, images, audio files, and project data you create or import into the editor.
- Usage information: Basic data about how you interact with Vorch — things like device type, browser, and general activity — to help identify bugs and improve the tool.
- Media Usage Data: When you search for or add stock media (from Pexels or Pixabay) to your timeline, we may track which assets are used. This helps us manage API limits, improve our library curation, and ensure compliance with our providers' licensing terms.
Vorch does not collect anything beyond what is needed to make the tool work and to fix problems when they come up.
2. How It's Used
The information collected is used for the following purposes:
- Running the editor and processing your video projects.
- Keeping your account functional and your projects accessible.
- Sending important notices — like security alerts or service updates (not marketing).
- Identifying and fixing bugs, crashes, and other issues.
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising purposes.
3. Feedback & Suggestions
If you submit feedback, feature requests, bug reports, or suggestions through any channel (including the roadmap, email, or GitHub), that input may be used to improve Vorch without any obligation or compensation.
By submitting feedback, you agree that it becomes non-confidential and that Vorch may freely use, implement, modify, or incorporate it into the product. No intellectual property rights are transferred to Vorch over your personal content — this applies only to ideas, suggestions, and feedback about the tool itself.
4. Data Security
Reasonable measures are in place to protect your information — including encrypted storage and secure connections. That said, no system is perfectly secure, and absolute protection cannot be guaranteed.
If a security issue is ever discovered that affects your data, you will be notified promptly.
6. Third-Party Services
Vorch relies on a small number of third-party services to function — things like cloud hosting, authentication, and media storage. These services are bound by their own privacy policies.
- Media Providers: We use the Pexels API to allow you to search and import video clips. We also serve a curated library of audio sourced from Pixabay.
- Infrastructure: Your project data and our curated audio library are hosted on our secure storage and delivered via our Content Delivery Network (CDN) to ensure fast performance.
These services only receive the data they need to function. No personal data is shared with media providers for marketing or tracking purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you are, you may have certain rights over your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the data Vorch holds about you.
- Correction: Ask for inaccurate information to be updated.
- Deletion: Request that your account and associated data be permanently removed.
To exercise any of these, reach out via the contact link below. Requests will be handled as quickly as possible.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. When that happens, the "Last updated" date at the top will change, and the revised version will be posted here.
For significant changes, a notice will be posted within Vorch or sent to the email address associated with your account.
