Terms of Usage

1. The Basics

Vorch is a browser-based video editing tool. These terms cover what's expected when you use it. By signing up or using Vorch, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

If you don't agree with any part of this, that's completely fine — but please don't use the tool.

2. Acceptable Use

Vorch is meant for creating and editing video content. You can use it for personal or commercial projects — the only expectation is that you use it responsibly. Specifically, don't use Vorch to:

• Break any applicable law or regulation.
• Produce, distribute, or host content that exploits or harms minors.
• Distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited bulk content.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
• Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or reverse-engineer the platform.

Accounts found violating these terms may be suspended or removed.

3. Your Content

Everything you create or upload to Vorch — your videos, images, audio, and project files — belongs to you. Vorch does not claim ownership over any of it.

By uploading content, you grant Vorch a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and process that content solely for the purpose of making the editor work for you. This license exists only while your content is on the platform and ends when you delete it or close your account.

You are responsible for making sure you have the necessary rights to any content you upload. For media provided by Vorch (Pexels/Pixabay), your rights are limited to the "Derivative Work" use case described in Section 4.

4. Media Library & Third-Party Content

Vorch provides access to stock media libraries (including video from Pexels and audio from Pixabay) to enhance your projects. Your use of this media is subject to the following conditions:

• License Scope: Media is licensed for use solely as a component of a video project created and exported via Vorch. This is considered a "derivative work."
• No Standalone Distribution: You are strictly prohibited from extracting, downloading, or distributing the raw audio or video files on a standalone basis. Any attempt to reverse-engineer or "scrape" these assets from Vorch's infrastructure is a violation of these terms.
• Third-Party Terms: By using these assets, you agree to abide by the respective licenses of our providers (e.g., the Pexels License and Pixabay License).
• Reporting Issues: If you believe any asset provided within the library violates a copyright or licensing agreement, please use the "Report a Licensing Issue" link provided in the media metadata or send an email to [email protected].

Prohibited standalone use

You may not:

• Download, extract, or redistribute third-party media files as standalone assets.
• Use Vorch as a stock-media distribution service.
• Circumvent technical or contractual restrictions on media usage.

Any attempt to obtain or redistribute standalone files is your responsibility and may violate third-party license terms.

5. Feedback & Suggestions

If you submit ideas, feature requests, bug reports, or other suggestions — through the roadmap, email, GitHub, or any other channel — that input may be used to improve Vorch without any obligation, compensation, or attribution.

By submitting feedback, you agree it becomes non-confidential and that Vorch may freely use, implement, modify, or build upon it. This applies only to suggestions about the tool itself — not to your personal content, which remains yours as described above.

6. Vorch's IP

The Vorch editor, its design, code, brand assets, and overall functionality are the intellectual property of Vorch. You're welcome to use the tool, but that doesn't grant rights to copy, redistribute, or repurpose the software itself.

To be clear: your content is yours. The tool you make it with is not.

7. Availability & Changes

Vorch is provided as-is. The goal is to keep it running and improving, but there's no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Downtime, bugs, and breaking changes can happen — especially as the tool evolves.

Features may be added, modified, or removed over time. Significant changes that affect how you use Vorch will be communicated where possible.

8. Account & Termination

You can stop using Vorch or delete your account at any time. If you want your data removed, reach out via the contact link below.

Access to Vorch may be suspended or terminated if these terms are violated or if the platform is being used in a way that puts other users or the service at risk. This isn't the intention — but the option needs to exist.

9. Liability

Vorch is a free tool offered in good faith. It is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vorch is not liable for any damages — including lost data, lost content, or interruptions — arising from your use of the platform.

Back up anything important. Don't rely on Vorch as your only copy of critical work.

10. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. When that happens, the "Last updated" date at the top will change, and the revised version will be posted here.

For significant changes, a notice will be posted within Vorch or sent to the email address associated with your account. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
